MATCHASOUNDS 013: AUGUST 2019

Wahoooooo!  Year two of Matcha Sounds.  Let's get it.

I cannot believe I'm rounding up on six festivals already this year (next stop, Arkansas for Wakaan!).  I've heard so much incredible live music and seen so many great shows.  When I was at Lollapalooza at Hard Summer last week, I realized how important festivals and other live events are, not just for me, but also my mental health.

I wanted to throw together songs that have been integral over these festivals for me and my friends.  They're songs that make me smile upon first note.  These songs are ones that remind me of the incredible memories I've made with my friends and remind me about the power of music.

I think it's wild how impactful live events can be on relationships – they really help bring us together.  This is why events like Bonnaroo have brought so many special people into my life.  I thought about this a lot as the motley crew of Bonnaroo and SC friends were together at Rüfüs's Lolla set.

Music is fucking awesome, and that's why I love putting these together and sharing them with all of you.

See you in September!
